News flash, birth announcement.  Rare color foal born in NZ.  She is a Purebred Peruvian Horse by FF Regalo de Oro (cremello) x FF Ayacuchana (black/pearl).  She is a Smoky Black Pearl.  She has pale blue eyes that will mature green, hazel or amber and pink skin that will mature mauve.  Pearl is found on the same place as cream in the genetic thread and is like a 1/2 cream dilution.  It is a hidden recessive that only shows when it meets itself or cream.  It seems only Spanish or Spanish derivatives carry it. Pearl was first discovered in the Paint horse.
